Both the auditorium and adjoining stairwells are being revitalised as Herøya Industripark AS embarks on an extensive renovation project in Building 25.
“The upgrading of the auditorium, stairwells and related facilities will improve both functionality and user experience,” says Trond Herrefoss, Property Manager at Herøya Industrial Park AS.
“In addition to the building improvements, the audiovisual system will also be modernised. The project will give the premises a contemporary look and extend their lifespan through environmentally conscious and user-friendly solutions.”
Renewal of the Auditorium
The auditorium will be given an updated and cohesive appearance. Vidar Jakobsen, Coordinator Facilities at Herøya Industrial Park AS, is looking forward to starting the project.
“The wall behind the screen will be rebuilt to create a smooth and tidy background, while all the walls will be newly clad and painted in fresh colours. The floor will be completely renewed with carpet tiles that enhance the acoustics. Ventilation ducts will be painted in the same colour as the walls to create a uniform look. The result will be a modern, functional auditorium well suited for meetings, lectures and presentations.”
He adds that the mingling area next to the auditorium is not part of this phase but is scheduled for refurbishment during 2026.
Upgrading of stairwells and toilets
The stairwells will also be upgraded. The walls will be repainted, new doors installed, and the floors will receive new carpet tiles. In one of the stairwells, the ceiling tiles will also be replaced.
“This will give a more cohesive impression from the reception area down to the auditorium,” Jakobsen explains.
As part of the same project, the toilets located in the stairwell area will be refurbished.
“The plan includes a full renewal of surfaces, fixtures and sanitary equipment. The floors will be fitted with coverings in accordance with wet room standards, and new doors and signage will be installed,” says Jakobsen.
Use meeting room Forum in Building 25G
Herrefoss offers the following reminder: if you need a large meeting room during the renovation period, we have an excellent alternative in Meeting Room Forum, located on the second floor of Building 25G. Forum can be set up for around 50 people using the available stackable chairs stored in the adjoining room. The room can be booked via the meeting room app.
