This week, LanzaTech announced in a press release that it plans to establish a CCU facility at Herøya Industripark in partnership with Eramet Norway.

Operations from 2028

The facility will produce ethanol by recycling carbon-rich gases from furnace emissions from Eramet Norway’s manganese alloy production in Porsgrunn, with operations expected to begin in 2028.

LanzaTech aims to make an investment decision within the next six months.

Circular economy

"We are very excited about LanzaTech's plans to establish themselves here at Herøya Industripark," says Sverre Gotaas, CEO Herøya Industripark AS.
